I am trying to make a light go kart frame and was wandering what ampage arc welder i need? Thanks!

Most arc welders are variable from around 50 – 140 Amps.
BUT: It depends on the thickness of the frame. I am by no means an expert, however when I weld 3mm thick RHS (Mild Steel) I use around 60 Amps with a 2.6mm rod. It seems to work well. OH and by the way. Wear full length overalls, Gauntlets (Long Leather Gloves), and a proper full face welding mask. The arc creates Ultraviolet light (Sunlight) but in very high doses, it will burn your eyes and skin. So be careful.

As on a motor bike the cog is on the left hand side but on the Go-Kart the cog is on the right hand side. I have a PCR frame and wish to put a 250cc Dirt Bike motor on it but the cogs are on opposite sides?!


can you take the axle off and flip it over and put it back on so that you sprocket is on the other side?

I have a 6.5 hp Tecumseh go kart engine and i don't think its getting enough gas because it always makes a choking sound and not going full speed but if i reach back to my engine as i am driving and prime it, it stops making the noise and runs faster. I have cleaned out the fuel lines and is a new carburetor so i don't get why its doing this please help.

adjust the cable from the pedal to the carb. it is probably not opening your carb all the way.

i try to go full speed on the go kart and the engine has trouble going full i can only go half throttle on the go kart. some 1 help me please

Ah… this is an easy one i had the same problem with my kx250 you need to clean the carb with some choke and carb cleaner that you can pick up at napa or shucks. You probely have a couple jets cloged or just a little gumed up inside try that out
