Comet Torque Converter Electric Go Kart
The drive side didn’t push out the belt completely until the motor was hooked directly to the batteries through relays first through 24 volt and then finally through the 48 volt relay. Go kart has a homemade frame driven by a 36 volt caterpillar motor if anyone recognizes it please tell me the model so I can find the specs. Its controlled by a 36 to 48 volt Curtis controller that just doesn’t have enough umpff to power this large motor it is only used for taking off then I use the relays to accelerate. What is the best thing to use to remove spray paint from a small engine on a go kart?
I have a Briggs & Stratton L-Head 8HP engine that I am putting on a go kart, and the paint on it is really bad looking, what is the best solvent/liquid to remove paint on something like this?

i want to get into go kart racing HELP?
i am thinking of buying a go cart to race and i don’t no if it is any good its a 2003 CRG shifter kart chassis witch i think that they put a 4 cycle on it it is a 125cc and it comes with every thing you pretty much need it has extra motor, racing suit, kart shoes, neck collar, rib protector, front tires all for about 1500 i think it will come with the go cart stand to
CRG is well known but I think what you may have there is a 125 shifter kart that someone has put a 4 stroke on, which 4 stroke who knows, could be a Briggs Animal, Yamaha F200 or a Clone for all we know, not that there’s anything wrong with that, as I yanked the Yamaha KT 100 out of my Emmick and put a $139 dollar clone in it, not real fast but it’s the biggest class running these days at my home track thanks to the economy. and more the merrier makes for great racing.

Im adding a Go kart suspension to my go kart and have a question?
I have found a air shock at auto zone (Gabriel Hi Jackers / Shock/Strut ) I am going to cut my frame in half, weld on hinges 6 inches behind the seat, re-attach the frame then attach this specific air adjustable shock on both sides. my questioin is…. Will this shock work or does it need a spring or a chassi stop so it does not over compress and fail. I like the idea of a air shock so I can adjust the rear ride hight. Help me please!!!
You will need a spring. I would recommend getting a coil over shock/spring combo. They can be adjusted, depending on the one you get.

im 14 and i want to start racing go karts
I want to know what I will need what cc of kart i will need and all the gear and some websites I live in Colorado also i have been riding atvs for almost 7 yrs now so I have tons of exp and I have a lil 5 hp dirt go kart that I’m gonna put a bigger motor in it and make it a sand kart. possibly
You can choose one of the Yamaha 100cc classes, they don’t have as much power as the 125 TAGs but are cheap and simple to buy and run.
Which class you choose depends on what races at the tracks near your area so your best bet is to pay them a visit.
Apart from the kart you will need a racing suit, helmet, possibly a rib protector, gloves, usually they have to be homologated, especially the helmet should be as expensive as you can afford.
Also maybe a trolley for the kart and some tools.
