I’m Getting my Little Girl into Racing Karts (PeeWee) I need help finding parts.?

Sunday Jul 25, 2010

I got her a Tazz kart I’m pretty sure PeeWee class has to run a 3.5 B&S. The only thing i got so far is the frame and a couple of tires and rims. Shes going to be racing at Mardela Springs MD. If anyone raced there before let me know how the track is we are planing on going up there next weekend. If anyone can help thanks..

Does the track have a website or a club affiliated with it? The club sites usually have a section with stuff people are selling. You could contact one of the sellers & even if they don’t have what you need, they might be able to point you in the right direction. If not, there will probably be someone with a parts trailer at the track when you race – although that’s not going to do you much good if you’re trying to get the kart together before then.

Looking for an official racing track to race my car or provided cars in bay area (not go karts).?

Wednesday Jul 21, 2010

I’ve been wanting to go auto racing but not with go karts but with real cars. Either with my own or with real racing cars or whatever they provide. I hear that they have these kinds of tracks around the bay area but I can’t find one.

by bay area , im guessing the san francisco bay area…u can rent time in laguna seca, near monterey…

PS racing karts are real racing cars and are purer to drive than the ones you have in mind... i take it you have not done any form of racing yet because any racer would would not ask questions like these or make comments like you made...

Where can you race go-karts if you don’t have a kart?

Saturday Jul 17, 2010

I am looking for a place to race go-karts in Southern California. I don’t have my own kart, so the place would have to let you rent them. I am talking about an outdoor place, not indoors. I really want to find a place where I can race for money, but anywhere would be great.

I'm looking for a more experienced place. For example, "San Diego Karting Association" would be perfect, except you need your own kart.

mirimar speed curcuit in san diego is a great place. it has an indoor course and they provide everything.

Do you have to have your drivers license in CA to go to K1 Racing (go karts)?

Yes you do,.

Anybody else love riding/racing Go-Karts for fun?

Thursday Jul 8, 2010

There is a really nice track in The Ocean City Maryland and it was great! There was about 7 of us racing-I was the orange cart of course and it was fast and crazy. Came in 3rd not too bad huh?

This is getting really freaky! I love go-karts and have spent far more on them in Ocean City than on alcohol. I like Speedworld at Jolly Roger, but Baja in West OC is also good. There was a decent track in N. Va (can’t remember where) and the only one in Baltimore is out on Rt 40 in the Essex area.

I got so far into go-karts that I actually did club racing with real cars for a short time back in the 90s.

"Old" cartoon about racing go karts?

Sunday Jul 4, 2010

Ok so back in the 90s, there was a cartoon about these kids who race a go kart. There was a boy and his friend, which might’ve been his girl friend. I don’t remember much about it, so if you know what I am talking about..please leave some details, the name of the program, or how I can find out it’s name. Thanks!!!

idk i think it might be street racer

ever since I saw this movie I wanted to learn how to drive racing go karts but I can’t find a camp in the CA

I do karting mi self, I race for a team called KTR Motorsport. Go to strawberry racing for the chassis and depending on how old you are your either looking at rotax or KF3 for the engine.

PS Dont ever call them (go karts) at the track as they are karts !!!

Should there be a separate Y!A section for go-karts and street racing?

Sunday Jun 20, 2010

And NASCAR and dirt bikes and NASCAR and street racing and go-karts and NASCAR and racing schools and NASCAR and chemistry and……NASCAR?

I thought that the "Other Auto Racing" category was for all that rubbish. No idea why NASCAR keeps coming up in F1…well, ok, I have a very good idea but I don’t want to start casting aspersions…

Interested in racing go-karts?

Wednesday Jun 16, 2010

Hey, I’m 13 years old. I’m getting real interested in racing, not for a living, just for fun. but i dont know how to tell my mom.

Also, what should i do to get started? like what should i get and where should i go?

Right now i live in P.A. but im moving to Arizona in 2 years. should i just wait till im in Arizona?

the racing i wanna do is either dirt or track.

Karting is the best place to start.
It’s not only training ground for racing drivers, it’s a sport in it’s own right, very demanding and very challenging and competitive.
I suggest you go here and subscribe to the forums:

http://www.ekartingnews.com/

You’re sure to find other karters from where you reside, they will tell you where the tracks are, what is best to get started with, what classes are most popular at your local track, how to get started and how much it’s all going to cost.
Also any technical queries you may have will be answered by knowledgeable people.
In general you should start by buying some second hand kart in good condition, the Yamaha class is a good place to start or maybe Junior Easykart if there are enough of them around, junior Rotax etc plus many other classes.
It doesn’t make sense for beginners to buy expensive brand new karts as their first kart because they don’t know what their needs are and they can’t push it to it’s limits anyway so you buy second hand and learn the ropes.
When you feel you’re ready, by then you will know exactly where to go next.
