TO BE HONEST: There are people who want to train their children early in life to become an racing driver....as an 3/4-14 yr olds are not allowed Formula Cars....so for early years Karting is good...or rather its the only option....now you may get into racing Formula Cars....but karting experience is valuable...and it would be good or advisable .. .if you havent done any kinda racing till today then plz do some karting and participate in karting events....after that get into Formula Maruti/JK Tyre National Junior Cup ,which happens in chennai .. it may set you back with Rs.1.5 lac +extra money for living+racing suit etc... Most every race driver does because that's how you get started in racing, but World Champion Damon Hill never raced karts.
