How does this go kart engine work? 10 points?
I’m trying to learn how this carb engine works. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_6970_200119224_200119224
My guess to make it run is to…connect gasoline to it, and pull the starter? or does it need anything else?
yes oil of course…the main question was after the oil and fuel, is it just "plug and play" xD
If you are palnning on buying that engine for a go kart—-dont do it. That particular engine has the crankshaft mounted up and down. You need a crankshaft that mounts horizontal/side to side. The engine in this configuration wont allow the chain to hook up to the clutch. That engine is more for a lawn mower where the blade will mount to the crank shaft.

HI
They don’t come with oil in them so be sure to add oil then all that is necessary it to hook up the gas and pull the cord and go. I do believe they do come with oil in the box but not in the motor.
good luck

That engine should plug and play, yeah. Assuming they send you a spark plug with it.
But I wouldn’t use that engine. If you turn that engine on it’s side, it will blow. It’s vertical only, for lawnmowers and stuff,.if it’s tilted, it won’t lubricate properly and it’ll seize.
Unless you wanna weld a differential style sprocket on there….
Buy an engine from a chainsaw or a motorcycle
