Go Karts – Going Faster?

I race in a sealed engine go-kart league in Avon, NY. I am the slowest person in my class on the front stretch. Even the slower cars in the turns can zoom by me like I am standing still on the straight. I use a Coyote SS chassis, all the karts in my class are the same weight (+ -1 or 2lbs), and we use the same tires. This is a sealed class, so I can’t take out the governor or anything drastic like that. Any suggestions?

Gears. You are probably running a different gear ratio than the rest of the field. If it is a true sealed engine class. However, there are always ways to modify engines, and people will find out how to max out the rules in order to run a faster engine.
