I’m going to join the trend of gearheads on YouTube breaking out their home-brew go-karts. This is my IH Cadet 75. I originally built this cart all the way back in ’93, but it hasn’t been driven since I shot my Go-Kart wheelie video in 2003.
I picked up a fresh engine for it from Craigslist for $30. This is my first attempt at starting the new engine.

A video compilation of driving the 1979 “IH Cadet 85 Special” that I converted to a “go kart” back in ’93, by removing the fiberglass body and some slight re-gearing. I replaced the 8HP B&S motor with a 12.5HP B&S I/C engine in ’95. This video was shot in August 2003.

Part 3 of my series on bringing my IH Cadet Go-Kart back to life. I clean the transmission’s internal components, reassemble it, and install it on the chassis. The kart finally moves under it’s own power for the first time in about 7 years.
